JNIWrapper.com site migration. Part 1

As part of the marketing effort to raise TeamDev's profile and promote its name as the creator of JNIWrapper family products, we have planned several steps in this regard. Some of them have already been made:

The forums of JNIWrapper family products have been moved to the integrated customer support and troubleshooting service of TeamDev at support.teamdev.com
The user registration service of the JNIWrapper forums has been integrated with www.teamdev.com

We are doing our best to make this transition as transparent as possible for JNIWrapper users. In case of any problems with your user account, please let us know at support@teamdev.com.

More changes are still under way and will mostly affect the structure and functionality of JNIWrapper.com. We will keep you posted on these changes once they are implemented.

QuipuKit EAP3 Build Announcement

Today TeamDev is releasing a third public build of the QuipuKit library for JSF under the terms of Early Access Program.

This EAP build is a bug fix release. Special thanks to our forum members who submitted issues while evaluating QuipuKit. For more details about the fixes, please read the What'€™s New page.

JNIWrapper 3.4, ComfyJ 2.2, JExplorer 1.7

It's been quite long since we last released such a massive maintenance update. Today JNIWrapper Team releases updates for the better part of its integration products family.

The JNIWrapper update contains several bug fixes that improve the product on most of the supported platforms.

The ComfyJ update brings along a couple of new features and a significant number of fixes. Do not miss out on a new IntelliJ IDEA plugin we created for ComfyJ Code Generator.

The JExplorer update is probably the biggest one. It contains some features we were originally planning for the next major release. Some of them are: reading/writing Internet Explorer proxy settings, capturing and printing Browser component contents, Internet Explorer automation, and more. This is not counting the stability improvements and other fixes.

QuipuKit EAP2 Build Announcement

TeamDev is pleased to announce the release of EAP2 public build of the QuipuKit library for JSF. This release comes with:

QuipuKit EAP Release

We are pleased to announce the start of Early Access Program for our new product called QuipuKit!

QuipuKit (pronounced [€™ki-pu kit]) is a library of highly customizable JSF components for building rich user interfaces of Web-based applications. It extends the standard set of UI components with such sophisticated widgets as TreeTable, DataTable, Calendar, DateChooser, Chart, and others.

Thanks to such features as Ajax support and keyboard navigation, the QuipuKit library essentially simplifies development of Web applications, making them really interactive and user friendly. See the online demo.

The validation framework bundled with the QuipuKit library enables developers to use standard JSF validators on the client side and extends them with additional validators that work equally well on the client and server side. The validation framework is flexible to support a variety of usage scenarios where data should be validated and provides multiple ways to configure visual feedback when validation failed.

JNIWrapper 3.3. Now on Windows 64-bit

JNIWrapper Team has picked up speed at releasing new platforms support. It has been a while since we planned to support 64-bit Windows and the plans have now become the reality.

The new platform support is available for evaluation and purchase.

JNIWrapper 3.2. Now with Mac OS X Intel

To keep step with the technological progress and to prove our leadership in platform integration solutions, we are proud to announce a new version of our JNIWrapper software with support for Mac OS X on the Intel platform.

The new Intel Core Duo platform support is available at no cost for all customers having the license for JNIWrapper for Mac OS X.

JExcel 1.0 Release

It's always a pleasure to release a new product. It feels like a float-out ceremony the air is filled with excitement to see it sail into open waters.

Today TeamDev Ltd. has released JExcel.

JExcel is the library built on our proven JNIWrapper and ComfyJ technologies that allows Java developers to integrate their Java software with Microsoft Office Excel. We believe JExcel is feature-packed enough to be taken advantage of in many ways and in many projects.

JExplorer 1.6, JNIWrapper and ComfyJ updates

The year 2006 starts with good news from the JNIWrapper team. Today we are releasing a comprehensive update for the whole product family! This includes:

Major update for JExplorer
JExplorer is now based on the JNIWrapper 3.0 core. This means that JExplorer is supplied with JNIWrapper and ComfyJ - so now you have a complete software package on hand.
But the good news doesn't stop there... JExplorer is no longer split in two editions. From now on there is only one edition available for use (previously known as Professional). If you have either the JExplorer Standard or Professional edition, you can use this new version.
Plus, we've considerably enhanced the JExplorer functionality to make your work even more efficient. For more details, see the What's New section.

Important: JExplorer 1.6 license format has changed. To upgrade your JExplorer 1.5 license to version 1.6 for free, please send us the request.

Improvements update for JNIWrapper and ComfyJ

JExcel Library Early Access Release

Today the JNIWrapper Team is proud to present the first Preview release of JExcel library.

JExcel is a library for integrating Microsoft Excel into Swing applications.

You can download JExcel, evaluate it during 30 days and submit us your comments or suggestions. By the time your trial version expires, we will update JExcel or will make it available for purchase.

JNIWrapper 3.0, ComfyJ 2.0 released

It's been a long way from version 2.0 to version 3.0. Since JNIWrapper 2.0 we have made more than 10 public releases and extended the product family with a new product JExplorer.

This release is a big step for us and, hopefully, a leap forward for you. Now you can get full support for Mac OS X platform, employ more JNIWrapper features. Moreover, be ready to welcome ComfyJ a new member of our Java integration product family that we are unleashing today!

You may wonder why ComfyJ starts its life from 2.0 version number and not 1.0?

Since its introduction in JNIWrapper 2.0, Java-to-COM integration has gained immense popularity among our customers. We felt that this functionality and its value to our customers deserved to have a life and release cycle of its own. Because the core of ComfyJ is extracted from JNIWrapper, we thought it would be reasonable to announce its debut as a separate product with version 2.0.

But we are not going to stop or even make a short break here. There are other products waiting in the line to be released. We are planning to update JExplorer quite soon and then release more new products that we are currently working on.

As a result of MIIK Ltd. reorganization, two independent software development companies have been formed: Validio Ukraine and TeamDev Ltd.

Welcome to a new version of the site

As you already know, we've expanded the pool of products, now carrying not only the JNIWrapper itself and WinPack, but also JExplorer and Mac OS X version of JNIWrapper, which we are going to release really soon (our apologies to those who we keep waiting). With several new products we are planning to introduce, we've realized that we need to re-think the web site organization and design.

The new design is probably the first thing that catches your eye. Take some time to scratch the surface and to try the new navigation that combines the "bread crumbs" technology with the site menu.

JNIWrapper 2.9 for Windows, JExplorer 1.4

Today, after some delay we introduce two new releases of JNIWrapper 2.9 and JExplorer 1.4.

New version of JNIWrapper covers several issues resolved after version 2.8.5. This version contains many improvements and fixes in the COM integration.

JExplorer 1.4 version also delivers numerous improvements that we made since the last release, mostly in memory management, stability and performance.

Today we introduce two new releases of JNIWrapper 2.8.5 and JExplorer 1.3.

JExplorer 1.3 version also delivers numerous changes and improvements we made since the last release.

NOTE: The new version of JExplorer requires JNIWrapper 2.8.5 and Internet Explorer 6.x.

Today the JNIWrapper Team is proud to present the first Beta release of JNIWrapper for Mac OS X.

In the new release of WinPack 2.3 library we have added two new features: API for DDE and System Event LogAPI. Both these features are presented in appropriate samples of the renewed WinPack Demo application.

JNIWrapper Beta for Mac OS X

JNIWrapper for Mac OS X supports all declared features, such as function native function calls, callbacks, various data types, automatic mamory management, etc.

Additionally, this version provides the samples for integration with Carbon framework (analogue of Win32 API for Windows) and its visual components, such as Open/Save File, Choose Folder, Choose Color dialogs and Native Windows.

Also, in this version we have implemented the FileSystemWatcher class that uses kqueue and kevent system functions of Mac OS X kernel. This class is analogue of our FileSystemWatcher class that we already made on Windows platform.

NOTE: Integration with all visual Carbon components works correctly under JDK 1.3 only. Invocation of them under JDK 1.4 may fail and even crash a Java application. But all not-visual features of Carbon library will work correctly on both JDKs.

JNIWrapper 2.8 and JExplorer 1.2

Today we introduce new releases of JNIWrapper 2.8 and JExplorer 1.2.

New version of JNIWrapper covers many important issues resolved after version 2.7.1. In this version we mostly have been focused on improving COM integration.

JExplorer 1.2 version delivers numerous changes and improvements we made since the first public release. The JExplorer API was improved and extended with several useful features basing on feedback from our customers. Keep writing to us!

NOTE: This new version of JExplorer is not compatible with previous version (2.7.1) of JNIWrapper.
