"Shoot" at Leopard with JxCapture 1.2

JExcel 1.3 is Out

TeamDev is pleased to announce a new release of JExcel, library that allows Java developers to integrate their Java software with Microsoft Office Excel.

JExcel 1.3 introduces new API features related to operations with ranges, worksheets and workbooks. JxBrowser 1.2 Released

JxBrowser, our cross-platform browser embedding library, has been updated to version 1.2.

JxBrowser 1.2 introduces Java Web Start support on all platforms, improvements in the printing API and in handling of problematic SSL certificates, update of the Gecko engine to version 1.9.1. To help you start working with JxBrowser we created Programmer's Guide that is available online and in PDF format.

JExplorer 1.9.1 Released

While we all are waiting for major release of JExplorer, TeamDev does not forget about existing customers and today is announcing the release of version 1.9.1. This maintenance release introduces features and improvements requested by JExplorer customers as well as resolves several issues reported to our support center. In particular, the new version features:
  • Added a new listener for windows resize related events.
  • Added ability to get all input parameters for popup windows.
  • Improved ContextMenuProvider class to allow receiving the original HTML element on right click action.
  • Improved the Cookie class to be serializable.
  • Updated the Programmer's Guide documentation and added new samples.

JxBrowser 1.1 is Out

We are pleased to announce the first maintenance release of JxBrowser, the cross-platform library for integrating the real web browser into your Java applications.

Release 1.1 focuses on fixing problems identified since the original 1.0 release. It has also been spiced up with a couple of new features such as printing support and profile management API.

TeamDev has released QuipuKit version 1.5, a commercial library of advanced JSF components. The major features of QuipuKit 1.5 release include:

  • A new GraphicText component that allows displaying rotated text.
  • Interactive column resizing feature for DataTable and TreeTable components.
  • Support for multiple headers and footers with column grouping in DataTable and TreeTable components.
  • Various sorting enhancements for DataTable and TreeTable components.

JExcel 1.2 - new features and important improvements

JExcel is quite popular product with rather big customer base, many of whom sometimes contact us for an additional functionality they would like to see in JExcel. We do our best trying to help our customers do what they need to by extending JExcel functionality with new API features or improving the existing.

This 1.2 update for JExcel introduces some new API for working with Ranges, fixes some issues and improves the compatibility with Microsoft Office 2007.

We know JNIWrapper has reached the skies already. But we are aiming for the stars and not stopping.

Now we are announcing support for one more platform Sun Solaris UltraSPARC (32-bit). Support for 64-bit is on its way.

Listen to the file system events with JxFileWatcher

A new product called JxFileWatcher is coming soon.

JxFileWatcher is a cross-platform library providing API to listen to file system events and monitor changes inside specified folders.

Using JxFileWatcher you will be able to track all kinds of changes made to specified folders:
  • Creation, renaming or removal of files and subfolders
  • File size or contents change
  • Attributes modifications
Initial release will support Windows, Linux and Mac OS X and will be available early in May.

JxFileWatcher will support two modes with and without administrative privileges. For users without administrative privileges the operating system sets limitation on the number of descriptors opened on *nix platforms (Linux, Mac OS X). Administrative mode removes such limitations.

QuipuKit 1.4.3 Released

TeamDev has announced release of QuipuKit 1.4.3, a commercial component library for JSF. In this maintenance release we have resolved the known issue of using JBoss Seam's link and button components inside of QuipuKit DataTable component. JxBrowser 1.0 Commercially Available

TeamDev is happy to announce the commercial release of JxBrowser 1.0. During more than a year of EAP period we did our best to produce a real value to our users.

JxBrowser is the cross-platform library that enables integration of Mozilla Firefox browser into Java AWT/Swing applications. It works on Windows, Linux and Mac OS X platforms. The library uses the latest Gecko 1.9 layout engine for rendering HTML documents.

But 1.0 release is not the finish line, it is just the beginning. We have huge plans and loads of new features in mind. We are already working on new features, for example, new rendering engines support such as WebKit. Stay tuned for more updates.

NOTE: JxBrowser for Mac OS X still has several outstanding issues and is released in Beta status.

JNIWrapper reaches IBM AIX

We continue expanding the list of hardware platforms supported by JNIWrapper technology. The list of hardware platforms not yet supported is getting shorter.

This time we are announcing support for a serious platform IBM AIX.

As usual you can download fully-functional version of JNIWrapper for AIX and try it before buying. Your feedback and ideas about improvement of product are very much appreciated.

We are working on Solaris for SPARC platform now. And it will be available soon. If there is a platform you want JNIWrapper to support, just let us know.

  • Added an ability to handle session expiration during Ajax request
  • Improved Ajax errors handling
  • Removed dependency on a modified version of JFreeChart. QuipuKit can now be used with the latest version of JFreeChart
  • Added a new LoadBundle component that can be used with Ajax-enabled components

JxBrowser 1.0 EAP3 is Ready

JxBrowser EAP3 is the next milestone of cross-platform web browser integration with Java. It allows integration of Mozilla Firefox browser into Java AWT/Swing applications on Windows and Linux. Main focus of this release was on stabilization and API improvement.

This EAP update does not include Mac support. JxBrowser versions with Mac support will be released later on the separate schedule.

New Features:

  • Updated Mozilla to Gecko 1.9/Firefox 3 code base.
  • Console service allows to receive notifications about script failures and other page problems.
  • Added API to provide user-defined behavior for different content types.
  • File download support.
  • New API for tracking asynchronous operations.


Fixed Issues:


  • Improved stability.
  • Corrected text input on Linux.
  • Demo application improved to show more features of JxBrowser library.
  • Various minor issues addressed.

QuipuKit 1.4 EAP1 is Out

We are happy to release a preview of QuipuKit version 1.4 to let its users try the new features before the official release is announced.

The major features of this release include:
  • An ability to merge cells in the DataTable and TreeTable components

  • Support for dynamic columns in the DataTable and TreeTable components

This build is bundled with a built-in evaluation license which expires February, 15, 2007. Our plans is to release 1.4 in the end of January, 2008.
