JxBrowser enters public EAP era

JxBrowser is a multi-platform library that enables integration of Mozilla Firefox browser into Java AWT/Swing applications on Windows, Linux and Mac OS X platforms. In addition to the visual component, JxBrowser provides standard methods for navigation, JavaScript execution, listeners for various browser events, DOM access, etc.

JxBrowser is something quite important to us. We’ve been molding it into a worthy product for quite a long time. But even when JxBrowser was in the making, it still received much attention. We received lots of questions and many people were granted access to the private beta version, providing us with valuable feedback. Now, though not released yet, JxBrowser is successfully used in several commercial applications.

Today, after the private beta, JxBrowser enters the public EAP era. Understanding the impatience of many of you to lay your hands on it, we are planning to make it commercially available really soon.

Your feedback on how to improve JxBrowser further is as always welcome.

QuipuKit 1.1 is Out

We are excited to announce a long-awaited release of QuipuKit 1.1. This release comes with compatibility of QuipuKit with JSR 168 Portlets. The list of supported portals includes:

• JBoss Enterprise Portal
• Liferay Enterprise Portal
• Jetspeed-2 Portal

Another major feature of QuipuKit 1.1 is compatibility with Ajax4jsf. Now you can use this framework together with QuipuKit to bring even richer Ajax functionality to your Web applications.

We've also enhanced built-in Ajax support for DataTable and TreeTable components, making it possible to refresh them entirely without page reload. Other improvements include various bug fixes.

JNIWrapper conquers Linux PPC

There are still lots of hardware platforms out there. And while JNIWrapper technology is not available on all of them, the list of supported platforms keeps growing and will continue to for some time in the future.

This time we've added support for another Linux platform: Linux on PowerPC 32/64-bit.

So lay your hands on JNIWrapper for Linux PPC to try and buy it now. Your ideas about its improvements are welcome. If you want to have support for another platform of your choice, just let us know.

JxCapture has been EAPed

On the heels of back-to-back updates for JNIWrapper comes a brand new product from TeamDev, called JxCapture.

This cross-platform library provides a full-featured screen capture API, allowing you to capture any graphic element on the screen and then manipulate it as a java.awt.image.BufferedImage object in your Java code. With JxCapture, you can perform screen capture in many different ways (full-screen capture, active window capture, object capture, region capture), set keyboard shortcuts and delay time, and do many other useful things.
